Playing with Words (+ Writing Exercise)
Words are powerful.
They can hurt us, make us choke on our pizza as we wheeze at a joke, and inspire colossal change.
I’ve noticed more and more now that some words just sound better than others. I really can’t explain why but something just sticks. In school I wrote because there was a test, but now I’m finally writing for the fun of it, and just experimenting with different phrases and word combinations.
Writing exercise to help loosen up that brain!
I love writing the first words that pop into my head. They absolutely don’t have to make sense, and that’s why it’s fun!
For example:
- horseradish blooms yonder
- lickety pickory
- warmth honey barn
- gabriel reverberates team
You can see some are complete garbage, but that’s ok. It’s the process of just writing and discovery which is the key goal here.
And if it’s hard to come up with a word, then click a random keyboard letter (or write it down) and click another and eventually it’ll remind you of a word that you can choose.
Have fun!
