What many people (and me including) forget, is that we’re 90% in control of what happens to us. Common phrases that crop up when things get overwhelming are:

  • There’s nothing I can do!
  • Well what is there to do?
  • It’s too hard
  • I’ll just deal with it
  • it’s not that bad

Our brains quickly shut down and leave us like that awkward shuffle when we try to cross a pedestrian on the path. We end up settling and validating our current situation, even though we know we can do MUCH better.

The decision paralysis is real.

So instead of focusing on all the tiny actions you need to complete to overcome this difficult situation…

What’s the ONE thing, that if you did it, will get the ball rolling?

It could be calling someone, going to a store, cancelling a membership, postponing a catchup, booking a counsellor…

The most you break down a difficult task, the more in control you’ll be.
